Edgemont Ore Buying Station Information

The ore buying station at Edgemont purchased uranium ore for the AEC. The American Smelting and Refining Company (ASRC) managed and operated the Edgemont station from November 1952 to January 1956. Lucius Pitkin replaced ASRC as the M&O contractor in February 1956. The Mines Development Corporation purchased the ore buying station on July 12, 1956.
