Chupadera MesaChupadera Mesa

Chupadera Mesa is a DOE facility for 1945 so workers are eligible to file both Part B and Part E claims.

Chupadera Mesa, about 28 miles northeast of the Trinity site consists of privately owned land that is a fallout zone from the first nuclear explosion in Trinity which was conducted on July 16, 1945 and is located within the White Sands Missile Range.

 

DOE

DOE's Legacy Management declared Chupadera Mesa a FUSRAP site and has a fact sheet on Chupadera, as well as a webpage.    

DOL

DOL provides Part B and Part E statistics on the Chupadera as well as exposure information from their Site Exposure Matrix on Chupadera.

NIOSH

NIOSH has not yet done any dose reconstruction for Chupadera Mesa nor developed any technical basis documents.  No Special Exposure Cohort applications have been filed.
